Freeze

Freeze is a negative control effect in Mortal Kombat Mobile that briefly locks a character out of actions. While frozen, the fighter cannot perform any actions for a short period of time, which interrupts pressure, prevents blocks and attacks, and opens a window for free damage or setup. Freeze is strongest when timed before an opponent’s Special Attack or during a dangerous combo string.

Freeze is applied by specific characters, equipment, and Kameos. Exact duration and application conditions follow the source card. The Applies section lists confirmed sources. Immune to and Resists show cards that prevent or reduce Freeze according to their text; Benefits from lists cards that gain an advantage when Freeze is present. Always confirm on the card whether protection is full immunity or a narrower resistance before counting on it in a matchup.
