Souls remain one of the most useful currencies in MK Mobile. They can be spent on character packs, Event Tower refreshes, Realm Klash attacks, Krypt Keys and other progression opportunities, so a steady Soul income gives you much more freedom than relying on occasional one-time rewards.
The most important thing to understand is that Soul farming is mostly about consistency.
There is no secret battle that gives thousands of Souls every day. The foundation is still Quest Mode, supported by Daily Objectives, rewarded ads, Challenges and other recurring rewards.
If your account is still new, start with the MK Mobile Beginner Guide. This guide focuses specifically on building a reliable Soul income.
Quest Mode is the best repeatable Soul farm
For players who can check the game regularly, Quest Mode is still the most reliable repeatable source of Souls.
You can run three Quests at the same time, which is why short Quests become so efficient. Instead of waiting many hours for one large reward, you can repeatedly collect three smaller rewards throughout the day.
The basic farming strategy is simple:
run 1-hour Quests while you are active, then switch to longer Quests when you will be away from the game.
For most players that means:
- 1-hour Quests during the day;
- 4-hour or 8-hour Quests when you cannot check the game;
- longer Quests overnight if necessary.
The exact schedule should fit your real life. Missing several 1-hour collections because you are busy is less efficient than simply starting a longer Quest and collecting it later.

Why 1-hour Quests are so good
Short Quests generally provide the best Soul income per hour when you can consistently restart them.
Popular Quest farming strategies in 2026 still revolve around repeating 1-hour Quests throughout the day.
For established accounts with Netherrealm Quest Mode unlocked, commonly used examples include:
- Quest 90
- Quest 91
- Quest 112
Players currently report roughly 10–14 Souls from Quests 90 and 91 and around 12–16 Souls from Quest 112, although Quest rewards are not something you should treat as a guaranteed fixed number every run.
Quest 97 is another commonly used alternative when it fits your collection better.
The important part is not blindly copying these three Quest numbers. Choose three short Quests that your available characters can complete reliably.
Best Outworld Quests for newer accounts
If you have not progressed far enough into Netherrealm Quest Mode, Outworld still works perfectly well for building your first Soul economy.
Current players continue to use 1-hour Outworld Quests such as:
- Quest 18
- Quest 21
- Quest 35
Community reports place these around the same general 1-hour farming range, although Netherrealm becomes more attractive once your collection is strong enough to handle its requirements consistently.
Do not rush into a harder Quest if your Success Chance becomes unreliable.
A slightly smaller reward with a high Success Chance is better than repeatedly failing the Quest that theoretically gives more Souls.

Always aim for a high Success Chance
Soul farming only works when the Quest actually succeeds.
When assigning characters, pay attention to the Quest requirements and your Success Chance. Higher-Fusion and stronger characters, correct classes and suitable Equipment can make difficult Quests much more reliable.
Questing characters are unavailable in most other modes until the Quest ends. The official exception historically documented for Faction Wars should not be assumed for the current Realm Klash system, so use spare fighters when you plan to play Towers, Krypt, Challenges, Battle Mode or Realm Klash.
A Quest slot sitting empty earns nothing.
Use Caro's Guidance for Quest farming
Caro's Guidance remains one of the most useful pieces of Equipment for dedicated Quest farming.
At maximum Fusion, the card provides +10% Quest loot, makes Quests 10% shorter and grants +30% Max Health; lower Fusions scale the Quest bonuses, while the Health bonus unlocks at maximum Fusion. Equip it before starting the Quest whose duration or reward you want to improve.
Keep it assigned to the character running your most valuable Quest. Moving it after a Quest starts should not be treated as a way to grant both bonuses to several active Quests; use any such swap only as an optional duration optimization, without assuming that the loot bonus is recalculated for every Quest.
If you simply keep three good Quests running consistently, you are already doing the most important part correctly.
Use 8-hour Quests while sleeping
You do not need to wake up every hour to farm Souls efficiently.
Before going to sleep, switch your three Quest slots from 1-hour farming to longer Quests.
Current players commonly use 8-hour Netherrealm Quests such as:
- Quest 73
- Quest 95
- Quest 114
The exact best combination depends on which Quests you have unlocked and can complete reliably.
The principle is more important than the numbers:
short Quests while you are available, long Quests while you are away.
This keeps Quest Mode generating Souls almost all day without forcing you to organize your life around a mobile game.
How many Souls can Quest Mode generate?
The answer depends almost entirely on how often you restart your Quests.
Three good 1-hour Netherrealm Quests can commonly produce more than 30 Souls per completed cycle based on current player-reported rewards. A player who collects several cycles during the day can therefore earn hundreds of Souls from Quest Mode alone.
Someone who checks the game only two or three times per day will naturally earn less.
That is fine.
The best Soul farming routine is not the theoretical maximum. It is the routine you can actually maintain.
Running three 1-hour Quests for several hours, then three longer Quests overnight, is already enough to build a strong long-term Soul income.
Complete Daily Objectives and Daily Trials
Quest Mode should be your foundation, but it should not be your only source.
Complete your Daily Objectives and useful Daily Trials whenever possible. These systems provide recurring free progression rewards and require much less attention than repeatedly restarting Quests.
The exact list of Trials can change with updates. Update 7.4, for example, changed the Trials that previously required logging in at specific times into a single Log in twice a day Trial.
Do not ignore small daily rewards because they look insignificant individually.
Soul farming works through accumulation.
A small reward received every day becomes much more important over several weeks.

Watch the daily rewarded ads
The rewarded-video system is another source of free Souls.
The system has changed several times over the game's lifetime, so old guides that quote one permanent number of ads or one fixed amount of Souls can be misleading.
In the regular 2026 system, players report a 10-video reward chain containing a mixture of Souls and Koins, followed by a Mystery Pack. Special events can temporarily improve the rewards and sometimes add currencies such as Dragon Krystals.
Because the reward composition can change during promotions, use the counter and reward preview shown directly in your game rather than expecting the same Soul total every day.
The important point is simple: if you do not mind watching the ads, they are another recurring source that does not require spending your existing Souls.
Complete Character Challenges
Challenges are another useful source of Souls, particularly for developing accounts.
As you progress through the Challenge towers, individual milestones can reward Souls alongside Koins and other rewards. Completing more difficulties gives you more opportunities to collect those rewards while also developing your character collection.
Do not treat a Challenge solely as a way to get the featured Gold character.
The Souls, upgrade materials and other rewards collected along the way all contribute to account progression.
As your collection grows and you can meet more character requirements, Challenges become easier to complete consistently.
Realm Klash also rewards Souls
Realm Klash is no longer the old Faction Wars system described in outdated guides.
Current Realm Klash placement rewards can include Souls alongside Blood Rubies, Dragon Krystals and other rewards. This makes regular participation another useful addition to your Soul economy.
However, Realm Klash should not replace Quest Mode as your main farm.
Ranking rewards arrive periodically, while Quest Mode can produce Souls continuously throughout the day.
Also remember that Klash Tower attack refreshes themselves cost Souls. Do not spend Souls on extra attacks automatically just because the option is available.
Use paid refreshes when the additional Kunai and other progression rewards justify the cost.
For the current mode, see the MK Mobile Realm Klash Guide.
Event Towers can give Souls — but they are not a Soul farm
Event Towers can award Souls as standard participation rewards.
You may receive them while climbing a Normal or Fatal Tower, including from some unsuccessful attempts.
But this does not mean you should refresh Towers specifically to farm Souls.
In the current standard Event Tower system, paid refreshes cost 40 Souls for another 5 attempts, with up to five paid refreshes available per Tower per day. Spending every paid refresh therefore costs up to 200 Souls for one Tower.
If two Towers are active and you fully refresh both, the cost becomes even larger.
The reason to spend those Souls is the overall Tower value:
- Diamond characters;
- Tower Equipment;
- milestone rewards;
- repeated completions;
- progression toward a reward you actually want.
Any Souls dropped during the fights are a bonus.
Read the MK Mobile Tower Guide before deciding whether paid attempts make sense for your account.
Shao Kahn's Tower provides additional Souls
Shao Kahn's Tower is primarily important for Spirit Fragments and Talent Points, but it can also award Souls and Koins while you progress through it.
Treat those Souls as secondary income.
Unlike Quest Mode, Shao Kahn's Tower is not something you can endlessly repeat every hour for currency.
Complete your available attempts for the progression rewards and let any Souls earned there add to the rest of your economy.
Battle Mode is useful early, not a permanent farm
Battle Mode also provides Souls while you progress through its towers.
For a new account, those rewards are useful because you are simultaneously earning experience and unlocking more of the game.
But Battle Mode is primarily a progression map rather than an infinite Soul farm.
Once those rewards have been collected, you cannot rely on Battle Mode the way you can rely on recurring Quests.
Use it for early progression, but build your long-term Soul economy around repeatable systems.
Free Souls offers can be valuable, but they vary
The Store contains a Free Souls section with third-party offers.
These can sometimes provide far more Souls than normal gameplay, but the available offers vary significantly by:
- country;
- platform;
- advertiser;
- account;
- current promotion.
That makes them impossible to include in a universal farming calculation.
Some offers require playing another game, reaching a certain milestone, registering for a service or making a purchase. Always read the conditions before starting.
Official support also notes that completed offer rewards may take time to appear. If an offer does not credit correctly, use the Reward Status and support options provided through the offer wall. See the official Free Souls instructions for the current support path.
Treat Tapjoy-style offers as an optional bonus, not the foundation of a farming guide.
Optional: MK11 account-link Souls
Players who use the Mortal Kombat 11 console/PC account-link system have another source available.
WB Games Support currently states that a linked MK Mobile account can receive Souls for logging into Mortal Kombat 11 on the same day:
- 40 Souls per day for the first 30 days
- 5 Souls per day after that
The account link is permanent, so do not connect the wrong accounts simply for the reward.
This method also obviously requires access to Mortal Kombat 11, so it is not part of the normal F2P farming routine for every mobile player.
Do not spend Souls to earn fewer Souls
Good Soul farming is not only about income.
It is also about avoiding unnecessary expenses.
Several systems allow you to spend Souls to move faster. That does not automatically make them worthwhile.
Common examples include:
- Event Tower refreshes;
- Realm Klash attack refreshes;
- Krypt Keys;
- random packs;
- unnecessary Quest acceleration.
Update 7.1 added Krypt Keys to the Krypt Store for 500 Souls each, with a limit of five per Krypt season. Read the MK Mobile Krypt Guide before buying extra entries.
That can be a good purchase if the additional Krypt run gives you enough Hearts and valuable rewards.
But buying Keys you cannot use is a waste of Souls.
The same rule applies everywhere:
spend Souls because you have a progression goal, not because the button exists.
Saving Souls is part of farming Souls
Players often focus entirely on how fast Souls enter the account and ignore how quickly they leave.
Imagine two players earning the same amount each week.
One opens random packs whenever the balance reaches 300–400 Souls.
The other saves until a strong pack rotation appears or keeps a reserve for valuable Tower refreshes.
Their Soul income is identical, but after several weeks their account progression can be completely different.
Before opening packs, check Best Packs in MK Mobile.
A pack being available does not automatically make it worth opening.
Keep a Soul reserve for Event Towers
If your account can clear Event Towers, spending Souls on refreshes may become more important than opening another random character pack.
That means reaching zero Souls after every pack opening can be a mistake.
Keep enough currency available for the content you actually plan to farm.
The required reserve depends on how aggressively you refresh Towers.
A player using only free attempts needs almost no Tower reserve. A developed account pushing multiple paid refreshes every day needs much more.
There is no universal perfect balance.
Your Soul spending should reflect your current progression stage.
A practical active Soul farming routine
For a player who can check MK Mobile regularly:
- Start three strong 1-hour Quests.
- Repeat them whenever convenient during the day.
- Complete Daily Objectives and relevant Daily Trials.
- Complete the daily rewarded-ad chain if you use ads.
- Progress through the current Character Challenge.
- Use free attempts in active Event Towers.
- Participate in Realm Klash for periodic ranking rewards.
- Before sleeping, replace the hourly Quests with three longer Quests.
This is enough.
You do not need to turn the game into a job.
The largest repeatable part of the routine is simply keeping your three Quest slots working.
A practical casual Soul farming routine
If you only open the game a few times per day, do not force 1-hour farming.
Instead:
- Start Quests that finish around the next time you expect to open the game.
- Claim Daily Objectives and Trials.
- Use free event attempts.
- Complete Challenges gradually during the week.
- Run long Quests overnight.
- Save the Souls instead of opening low-value packs immediately.
A casual player will earn fewer Souls per day than someone restarting Quest 112 every hour.
But consistency over several months still creates a large balance.
How to farm Souls faster as a beginner
For a new account, follow this order:
1. Unlock and progress Quest Mode.
The earlier you unlock reliable 1-hour Quests, the earlier you establish recurring income.
2. Keep all three Quest slots active.
An empty slot is lost income.
3. Use Outworld first.
Do not worry about reaching Netherrealm immediately.
4. Improve your roster.
Stronger characters increase your Success Chance and unlock more Quest options.
5. Complete Challenges and Daily Objectives.
They add Souls while also developing the account.
6. Do not waste the first Souls you earn.
Saving several thousand Souls gives you far more flexibility than opening one random pack every time you can afford it.
The MK Mobile Beginner Guide covers the rest of early account progression.
How to farm Souls faster as an established player
A stronger account has different priorities.
Once you have access to Netherrealm Quests and can complete them reliably, optimize the Quest rotation first.
Then use your Soul income strategically.
Established players may spend a significant amount of Souls on Event Tower refreshes because repeated Tower completions can provide more account value than many Soul packs.
Realm Klash refreshes and Krypt Keys can also become reasonable when you know exactly what reward you are targeting.
At this stage, efficiency is less about maximizing the number displayed next to the Soul icon and more about maximizing what those Souls produce.
Common Soul farming mistakes
- Leaving Quest slots empty for hours.
- Running long Quests during the day when you could comfortably restart 1-hour Quests.
- Running 1-hour Quests when you know you will not check the game for eight hours.
- Choosing a harder Quest with a poor Success Chance only because its possible reward is slightly higher.
- Ignoring Caro's Guidance after obtaining it.
- Expecting one fixed Soul amount from rewarded ads even though the reward chain changes.
- Ignoring Challenges and Daily Objectives because each individual reward looks small.
- Treating Event Tower Soul drops as a reason to buy every refresh.
- Spending every Soul on random packs.
- Buying Krypt Keys without enough time to use the additional runs.
- Buying Realm Klash refreshes without a clear reward target.
- Following old Faction Wars guides instead of the current Realm Klash system.
- Trying to maximize daily Souls so aggressively that the farming routine becomes impossible to maintain.
What is the best way to farm Souls?
For most MK Mobile accounts, the answer remains simple:
Quest Mode.
Run three 1-hour Quests while you are actively checking the game, then switch to longer Quests when you are sleeping, working or otherwise unavailable.
Add Daily Objectives, ads, Challenges, Realm Klash rewards, Shao Kahn's Tower and other recurring rewards on top.
Most importantly, stop thinking about Soul farming only as earning currency.
A player who earns 300 Souls and saves 250 has progressed their balance more than a player who earns 500 and immediately wastes all 500.
Build a repeatable Quest routine, collect the free rewards already available to your account and spend only when the purchase has a clear purpose.
For pack decisions, use Best Packs in MK Mobile, and before spending heavily on Event Tower attempts, check the MK Mobile Tower Guide.
Thank you for reading, and good luck with your MK Mobile account progression!
