Best Packs in MK Mobile 2026 — What Is Worth Opening?

The MK Mobile Store contains dozens of permanent and rotating packs, but spending on all of them is one of the fastest ways to slow down account progression.

A good pack is not simply the one with the newest Diamond on the artwork. You need to consider the currency, total Diamond chance, quality of the Gold pool, whether the rewards improve your current account and what else that currency could be used for.

This guide focuses on the current MK Mobile 7.3 environment. Pack rotations, discounts and purchase limits can change, so always inspect the live Store before spending.

If you are unfamiliar with the characters in a pack, compare them with the MK Mobile Character Tier List. For Equipment offers, use the Equipment Tier List.

The short answer: which packs are the best?

For most players, the strongest pack priorities look like this:

  1. Brand-new account: Beginner's Summon Pack.
  2. Best general Soul Pack: Elemental Warriors Pack when available.
  3. Excellent seasonal Soul Pack: Flames of Summer Pack.
  4. Developed account: strong Tower Equipment Summon Packs.
  5. Featured Dragon Krystal Character Summons: only when the featured character and overall pool are valuable to your account.
  6. Specialized Kameo Packs: mostly for established accounts with a clear Kameo target.
  7. Weak permanent packs: usually save your currency unless you have a specific reason to open them.

There is no pack that is permanently the best for every account.

A new player needs characters and Fusion. A developed player may gain far more progression from Equipment.

Beginner's Summon Pack — best starting pack for a new account

If your profile is new and the Beginner's Summon Pack is available, this should usually be your first Dragon Krystal priority.

The current pack costs 10 Dragon Krystals per summon and is limited to 50 openings for eligible accounts. This is cheaper than standard 15-DK character and Equipment summons.

Its real value is not only the cards that come directly from each opening. Beginner Summons also interact with the Summon Pack Trial system, where pack openings contribute toward milestone rewards.

Summon Pack Trials were introduced in Update 6.0 and can award additional Gold and Diamond characters after reaching specific milestones.

For a fresh profile, this is extremely useful because the main goal is not to obtain one rare Diamond. You need enough characters and Fusion to start clearing Challenges, Towers, Krypt and other modes consistently.

That is also why current 2026 beginner discussions repeatedly recommend completing the beginner summons before spending heavily on normal Dragon Krystal rotations.

For complete early-game progression, see the MK Mobile Beginner Guide.

Elemental Warriors Pack — one of the best Soul Packs

Among packs bought with Souls, Elemental Warriors Pack remains one of the strongest general-purpose options.

Its standard price is 450 Souls and it contains one Gold or Diamond character. The documented current pool gives a combined Diamond probability of approximately 34.5%.

The Diamond pool includes characters such as:

The Gold outcomes also contain useful progression cards such as Klassic Scorpion and Hanzo Hasashi Scorpion.

That combination is what makes the pack so attractive: even when you miss the Diamond roll, not every Gold outcome is automatically useless.

Current community discussions in 2026 continue to treat Elemental Warriors as one of the best places to save Souls for, especially when a discounted version appears.

Should you wait for an Elemental Warriors discount?

If your account does not urgently need Souls elsewhere, waiting can be worthwhile.

The standard price is 450 Souls, but the pack has appeared at discounted prices during special promotions. Community reports from 2026, for example, describe a discounted price around 301 Souls during certain sales.

Do not treat that specific price as guaranteed for every future return.

The important principle is that a high-Diamond-chance pack becomes dramatically more efficient when the Soul price is also reduced.

If you already have a usable roster, saving several thousand Souls for a strong discounted rotation is usually better than opening random 300–450 Soul packs every week.

Flames of Summer Pack — excellent seasonal value

Flames of Summer Pack is another strong Soul option.

Its standard price is 450 Souls and it gives one Gold or Diamond character plus one Equipment card. Its documented character pool has a total Diamond probability of approximately 16%.

The Diamond pool is small and focused around strong Liu Kang and Scorpion variants, including cards such as:

Its Gold pool is also concentrated around Liu Kang and Scorpion cards, including Klassic Scorpion and Hanzo Hasashi.

In July 2026 the pack returned at 450 Souls with a 40-pack purchase limit, confirming that it is still part of the modern Store rotation.

Elemental Warriors generally offers the stronger raw Diamond probability, but Flames of Summer is still one of the seasonal Soul packs worth saving for when its pool contains cards you need.

Elemental Warriors or Flames of Summer?

For pure character probability, Elemental Warriors has the obvious advantage: approximately 34.5% documented Diamond chance versus about 16% for Flames of Summer.

But pack choice should not be based on one number alone.

Choose Elemental Warriors when:

  • you want a broad selection of strong Diamonds;
  • many of its Diamonds still need Fusion;
  • you want the higher general Diamond probability.

Choose Flames of Summer when:

  • you specifically need its Liu Kang or Scorpion pool;
  • several of those characters would give important Fusion upgrades;
  • you also value the additional Equipment card.

If most Elemental Warriors Diamonds are already Fusion X but your Flames of Summer targets are not, the lower theoretical Diamond rate can still produce more useful results for your account.

Tower Equipment Summon Packs — best for many developed accounts

Once you already have strong Gold teams and a useful Diamond collection, character packs begin losing some of their value.

At that stage, Tower Equipment Summon Packs become much more attractive.

Current Tower Equipment Summons normally cost 15 Dragon Krystals. For example, the active Sorcerer's Tower Equipment Summon Pack is listed at 15 DK during the September–October 2026 rotation.

Good Tower Equipment can improve many different fighters rather than one individual character. It can also provide huge Attack and Health bonuses inside its associated Tower.

This matters because strong Equipment can be the difference between getting stuck in Fatal Tower and completing it repeatedly.

Current community advice from developed players often favors Tower Equipment Summons over repeatedly chasing featured characters for exactly this reason.

Before opening one, inspect the available items in the Equipment Tier List and read the MK Mobile Tower Guide.

Do not open every Tower Equipment pack automatically

Tower Equipment is powerful, but not every Tower set has the same value for your account.

Before spending Dragon Krystals, check:

  • how strong the Epic pieces are;
  • whether the Rare pieces are useful;
  • whether the items have good effects outside their Tower;
  • how many copies you already own;
  • whether you are actively struggling in that Tower;
  • whether additional Fusion would actually help you progress.

A pack where three or four pieces would improve your account is much safer than one where you are chasing a single Epic.

The Equipment Tier List is particularly useful here because it evaluates Equipment beyond rarity alone.

Featured Dragon Krystal Character Summons

Modern character summons usually cost around 15 Dragon Krystals, although the Store can contain different offers and limited promotions.

For example, the September 2026 Store includes MK1 Shang Tsung, MK11 Frost, Onslaught Sub-Zero and MK1 Sub-Zero character summons at 15 Dragon Krystals each.

The featured character on the artwork should not be the only reason you open one.

Before spending, inspect the full pool and ask:

  • Is the featured character important to one of my teams?
  • Would another copy create a meaningful Fusion upgrade?
  • Are the secondary Diamond outcomes useful?
  • Are most Gold outcomes already maxed?
  • Does the summon advance a valuable Summon Pack Trial?

A featured summon can be an excellent targeted purchase, but it can also become an expensive way to receive repeated Gold sellbacks.

For a full Dragon Krystal strategy, see How to Spend Dragon Krystals in MK Mobile.

Summon Pack Trials can change the value of a pack

Do not evaluate Dragon Krystal packs only by the immediate reward.

Summon Pack Trials track eligible pack openings and can provide additional milestone rewards, including Gold and Diamond characters.

Before opening many packs, check:

  • your current Trial progress;
  • the next milestone;
  • the guaranteed reward;
  • how many summons are still required;
  • whether the pack itself is useful.

If you are only a few openings away from a strong guaranteed reward, continuing can make sense.

But do not open a bad pack solely because the progress bar exists.

The pack should still have useful outcomes on its own.

What about Kameo Summon Packs?

Kameos are powerful, but Kameo packs are usually more specialized than character or Tower Equipment packs.

The permanent Kameo Summon Pack currently costs 15 Dragon Krystals, and additional themed Kameo offers also rotate through the Store. Update 7.2 added more Kameo offers, including the Kameo Regen Summon.

For a new account, this is usually not the first place to spend large amounts of DK.

Your main characters, their Fusion and their Equipment normally have a larger impact on progression.

Kameo packs become more interesting when you already have strong teams and know exactly which effect you are trying to add to them.

What about the permanent Gold Pack?

The permanent Gold Pack currently costs 150 Souls.

It is cheap, but cheap does not automatically mean efficient.

For a brand-new account, getting more Gold characters can obviously help build roster depth. However, modern progression gives new players access to Beginner Summons, Challenges, Krypt and other sources of stronger Gold cards.

That is why experienced players in current 2026 discussions often recommend saving Souls instead of repeatedly opening the basic Gold Pack.

If you need a few extra Golds simply to satisfy Challenge requirements, it can still serve a purpose.

But it is rarely the long-term pack you should spend thousands of Souls on.

What about the Challenge Pack?

The permanent Challenge Pack costs 300 Souls in the current Store.

It can be useful when your account still needs strong Challenge Gold characters, particularly because several excellent beginner cards come from that wider category.

Before opening it heavily, however, compare that cost with your other options.

Challenges themselves provide featured Gold characters, while limited Soul packs can offer both useful Golds and a meaningful Diamond chance.

For beginners specifically, characters such as Kombat Cup Johnny, Klassic Scorpion, Covert Ops Cassie and other progression-friendly Golds are discussed in Best Gold Characters for Beginners.

Themed Soul Packs can be good — but check the pool

The Store frequently rotates team, class and theme-based packs.

As of September 2026, for example, a Spec Ops Kombat Pack is available for 400 Souls with a purchase limit of 20.

A themed pack is not automatically good or bad.

Its value depends on how many outcomes you actually want.

A pack can be worth opening when:

  • several Diamonds in the pool need Fusion;
  • useful Golds are also included;
  • the pack completes an important team;
  • the price is discounted;
  • the purchase limit lets you realistically target meaningful upgrades.

It is much weaker when only one card interests you and nearly every other result becomes a sellback.

Discounts matter almost as much as the pack itself

A decent pack at a large discount can become a very good purchase.

A strong pack at full price can sometimes be worth skipping if your account does not need its pool.

When a sale appears, do not look only at the percentage discount.

Compare:

cost per opening + useful outcome probability + quality of the pool.

Saving Souls gives you flexibility.

A player sitting on 10,000 Souls when Elemental Warriors or another strong discounted pack appears can take advantage of the promotion. A player who opens every temporary pack at full price cannot.

Do not spend Souls only on packs

This is especially important in modern MK Mobile.

Souls also buy additional Event Tower attempts. For an account capable of completing a Tower, those refreshes can eventually produce guaranteed Diamonds, Tower Equipment and repeated completion rewards.

That can be better progression than spending the same Souls on random packs.

The correct balance depends on your roster.

If you can reliably finish an Event Tower, keep enough Souls for refreshes before emptying your account on a pack.

The full refresh strategy is covered in the MK Mobile Tower Guide.

Equipment Packs for Koins are still useful

Not every worthwhile pack costs premium currency.

Basic Equipment Packs bought with Koins can help a developing account build and fuse important legacy Equipment.

Early priorities include effects such as:

  • Block Breaker;
  • Power Generation;
  • reduced Special Attack cost;
  • Health;
  • resistance.

A common or Rare item with the right effect can provide more practical value than an unrelated low-Fusion Epic.

For Equipment progression and examples, see the MK Mobile Equipment Guide for Beginners.

How to evaluate any new pack

When an unfamiliar pack appears, use the same process every time.

First, inspect the price and currency. Then open the pack information and read the probabilities rather than relying on the artwork.

Update 7.1 improved Store inspection so uncertain outcomes are shown as “You might get,” and purchase limits and remaining time are displayed more clearly.

Then ask:

  1. What is the total probability of getting something useful?
  2. How many of the Gold outcomes are already Fusion X?
  3. How many Diamond outcomes would actually improve my account?
  4. Is there one target or several good targets?
  5. Is the pack discounted?
  6. Does it advance a Summon Pack Trial?
  7. What am I giving up by spending this currency now?

This approach works even when the Store changes completely.

Packs beginners should usually avoid overspending on

A beginner should be especially careful with:

  • permanent basic Gold Packs;
  • expensive themed packs with only one desirable character;
  • random Kameo packs before the main roster is developed;
  • featured DK summons when most of the pool does not help;
  • packs opened only because you currently have enough currency.

That does not mean these packs are universally bad.

It means they should have a purpose.

Buying one Gold Pack because you need roster depth is different from spending 5,000 Souls on it without considering better upcoming options.

Packs for developed accounts

Once you already have multiple Fusion X Gold teams and a healthy Diamond collection, pack priorities change.

At that point:

  • Gold outcomes increasingly become sellbacks;
  • Tower Equipment becomes more important;
  • specific missing Diamond fusions become more valuable than broad collection growth;
  • specialized Kameos can become worthwhile;
  • saving for the right rotation matters more.

For many developed accounts, the question is no longer “Which pack gives me the most characters?”

It becomes:

“Which pack has the highest chance of improving something I actually use?”

That often points toward strong Tower Equipment Summons or highly targeted character packs.

Common pack-opening mistakes

  • Spending currency immediately after earning enough for one pack.
  • Looking only at the featured character.
  • Ignoring the total Diamond probability.
  • Ignoring the Gold outcomes.
  • Opening a pack where most possible cards are already maxed.
  • Spending all Souls and then having none for Tower refreshes.
  • Ignoring Summon Pack Trial progress.
  • Opening Kameo packs before building the main roster.
  • Assuming an Epic Equipment pack is automatically good.
  • Chasing previous losses by opening more packs.
  • Trusting an old pack guide without checking whether the pool or Store system has changed.

What are the best packs in MK Mobile in 2026?

For a brand-new account, Beginner's Summon Pack remains the clearest starting point.

For Souls, Elemental Warriors Pack stands out because of its unusually high documented Diamond probability and strong pool. Flames of Summer is another valuable seasonal option, especially for accounts targeting its Liu Kang and Scorpion characters.

For established players, strong Tower Equipment Summon Packs can provide more progression than another random character, particularly when difficult Towers are the main obstacle.

Featured character and Kameo packs should be treated as targeted purchases rather than something to open automatically.

Most importantly, do not ask only:

“Is this a good pack?”

Ask:

“How many outcomes in this pack actually improve my account?”

Use the Character Tier List to evaluate character pools, the Equipment Tier List for gear, and How to Spend Dragon Krystals before committing large amounts of DK.
